US Army ROTC
Member Assoc of the US Army, 10th PA Co at IUP, now Carlisle Barracks, PA. Cannon Crew Commander, 2Yr. Current Life member.
Member Ranger prog, SGT.
Non-Comm Officer Development Prog (NCODP), 1yr later assist C/CSM with renamed/redeveloped NCO Academy (NCOA). Ran & org use/need of supply, logistic/intell for NCOA, & other thing for C/CSM.
Member Rho Tau Chi (PTX) Pro Mil Frat, SGT At Arms for Term.
Pershing Rifle. Assist Re-Found at IUP. Change in ROTC, disappoint Co retire 5yr later. Org took most time & still hold part of my heart. At start made up part of Co, promote up ranks, eventually made CO/CPT, one point, Reg Cmd/COL. In end retire with Co, W-1-5, as BG. Have Co guidon & colors, someday hope fly again.
Competitions with Co & opportunity score comp. Assist local JROTC units train cadets for drill comp. Handle logistics/intell for Color Guard Opts for IUP Basketball & Football Games, IUP Grads, other Indiana & out of area Events. Comp award win CG present at Pirates Game in PGH Three Rivers Stadium.
OP-FOR OPTS for cadet & Guard/Reserve, Community Relation, Honor Guard for then PA Gov Ridge, School Progs.
Made friends still have today & memories have forever. Experience made me a better person, without them not be person am today. Experience, no matter good/bad in moment, makes us who we are in the end.
ROTC, work with some of the best people ever meet. LTC Steele, LTC Edwards, MAJ Ferderber, CPT Herrmann (M&F), SGM Hill, SGM DeJarnett, SGT Johnson, SGT Brown, SGT Matsey, name a few.
Met many great people through ROTC. Mohr, Barber, McGarry, Thompson, Kauffman, Spano, Angove, Klingensmith, Kiernan, Rausher, Holt, Renwick, Stachera, Snow, Buck, Fallon, Freeman, Haubert, Lamborn, Moncuse, Azinger, Kovalcik, Ziegenfuss, Bopp, Julock, Picciano, Postage, and many others.
Jen, a 'Cool' person, always been there & Great Friend. Tracey, is great, so much about her I would not know where to begin because I Love so much about her. Laura, long time trusted friend & continues to be. Will, greatest friend.
After IUP, like any other Until 02Jul03, injured on the job. Sustained Head/Brain/Neck/Knee Injuries.
Nevertheless, learned from life & one thing after another, never give up.

Fav Movies: Live Free or Die Hard, Black Hawk Down, SWAT, Saving Pvt Ryan
Fav Books: None right now, But Typically History or Law Enf Related
Fav Music: Almost anything but Polka. Best for eclectic music interest is XM Sat Radio. But I do not listen that often to the music channels now, I listen to Opie & Anthony with Little Jimmy Norton, and Ron & Fez on XM Channel 202 most of the time. Rest of time I choose from the other 200 channels.

PGH Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, Penn State Football. Boston Red Sox & NY Yankees are OK. Do NOT Like 18-1 NE Patriots, arrogant cheaters & they stink and I don't like them.
Law Enforcement & Hist, Hist, most US Mil related, focus Civil War. Also WWI/II, Earlier & Later to current mil tactics.
Maps, Hist Maps, Transportation Hist, roads of yesterday & presence today.
Like to Travel & Relax. Traveled a lot South-East & East US. Like now to travel rest of US, eventually World.
