I have updated the Magrath Lions Club website with information on the upcoming community food drive to benefit the Lethbridge Food Bank. Although Magrath is a fairly small town, I know of at least three 'double takes' in town. Do you know of any more?

The first is Jim Blumel vs Jim (James) Blumell.

Jim with one L, son of Reed and Irene, works his own business as a cabinet maker and finish carpenter. He lives on 2nd Street West and his wife is named Dayna.

Jim with two LL's. son of Mary-Margaret, works his own business as a general carpenter. He lives on 1st Street West and his wife is named Dale.

I emailed this weblink to my good friend Duane and he is going to do a short piece on this welovemagrath.com website thing in his newspaper. Cool eh.

I'm sure it will say something like, "Whenever one thinks of greatness .. etc, etc." [note to self - post copy of review here].

Look for your Flyer which will be delivered to your home .. We will be holding our 2nd annual Community Food Drive the week of April 9th, 2007. This event is sponsored by all local churches on behalf of the Lethbridge Food Bank.

Volunteers will drop off flyers and bags starting April 9th or 10th. Then on Saturday Apr 14th if you wish to participate, leave your donation in the bag on your doorstep. Between 9am and noon we will come collect your donations. Thanks, eh

My daughters school teacher wrote:

Did you know that Leslie and Devar of Magrath are now featured on bags and cups from McDonalds! Leslie entered the contest and won. Devar says a few times he has pointed out to people at McDonalds that, Hey, that's me on your cup there. Then he pointed out that Leslie says that is the difference between them. She would like to find a rock to hide under and he likes to stand on top of the rock and wave. Ha ha.
